In performing our compliance attest function, we become deeply involved in our clients’ business and we can add tremendous value to the engagement by pointing out opportunities, recommending changes and improvements and noting what is working well. When we are not actively involved with our clients, keeping their businesses in mind so we can involve them in new things as we learn about them, refer other clients and customers to them when the opportunity arises and being continually available to them when they have a question is client service that goes beyond our primary compliance assignment. This is the most personally rewarding part of the client engagement."
