KLR recently won the Practical Accountant's distinguished Practice Innovation Award. The 2006 Practice Innovation Awards recognized KLR for the firm's innovative tax credit practice that has saved their clients $2.2 million.
KLR was selected amongst firms from all over the nation in this competition that was open to practices of all sizes. KLR's innovation was to help their clients save money through purchasing tax credits that can be used to reduce their state tax burden. "We are constantly researching creative methods to save money for our clients" states Alan Litwin, Managing Director. KLR facilitates the purchase of a significant amount of tax credits each year. "Our clients utilized more than 50% of the total credits available in the state" adds Litwin.
