KLR Announces Two Promotions to Shareholder

Providence, RI – January 2006 – Kahn, Litwin, Renza & Co., Ltd. (KLR), the largest Rhode-Island CPA and business-consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Henry A. Silva, CPA and Peri Ann Aptaker, Esq., CPA/PFS, CFP, CBA have become Shareholders in the Firm.

Mr. Silva has 19 years of public and private accounting experience. He received his B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and then went on to gain his Masters in Business Administration, earning both degrees from Providence College. Mr. Silva will continue working in KLR’s Providence office focusing on privately-held manufacturing, healthcare, distribution, automobile dealerships, venture capital/private equity firms and construction companies. He has been part of the KLR team for over 9 years.

Ms. Aptaker has over 20 years of professional experience. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts in 1983 and her Masters of Science in Taxation from Bentley College in 1988. Ms. Aptaker received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1992 from Suffolk University Law School. Ms. Aptaker will continue working in KLR’s Providence office focusing on individual and corporate tax planning, personal financial planning and business valuation services. She has been part of the KLR team for over 5 years.
